Green Thumbs is a program seeking to teach children and caregivers about nature, gardening, pollination, and recycling and is part of the Tri-County Master Gardeners activities of Clemson University Extension. Each month focuses on a different topic and children will make something to take home. Each session is limited to 20 participants.
Grades K through 5th
January 24 – Make a flower seed blanket with recycled paper. A great Valentine’s gift for a special person. Registration opens 1/3.
February 28 – Birds get hungry too! Turn a pinecone into a bird feeder. Registration opens 2/7.
March 27 – Where do plants come from? Learn the may ways to propagate plants. Registration opens 3/6.
April 24 – Loofah mu Ooopha? Turn a sponge into a loofah and make aromatic bath salts. Registration opens 4/3.
May 22 – Flower Power! Using flowers to attract butterflies. Registration opens 5/1.
